NYFW Resort 2012 Recap

Well it's that time again kids, another end to another glorious fashion week. I did not make it to NYC this year, as I was too busy designing my own Resort 2012 collection, but you can be sure I have been keeping a close watch on the upcoming trends. Below I have listed some of my favorites. Which ones are you excited about?

Let's start with the tried and true classic: Nautical. Always a hit!

Next up we have Indian, which has also been an ongoing trend for the past few seasons, but with a fresh feel this year.

And then we have Fringe, which will be seen on everything from accessories to clothing to swimwear.

Finally there is the Draping trend, or the Grecian Goddess as I like to call it.

As for color, olive and green are everywhere! This is quickly becoming the hottest new color! How do I plan on incorporating these looks into swimwear you ask? You'll just have to wait and see!

Perfect weather...

Calls for the perfect cocktail from Miami Beach! For a second, I need to brag about the absolutely perfect weather we are having here today. I don't mean to make those up North jealous, but this is really the best time to make your way down to Florida, or another tropical location, bikini in hand. 80 degrees, a cool ocean breeze, and not a cloud in the sky. To help make you feel as if you too are sunning at the beach today, I have the perfect cocktail ready for your "Thirsy Thursday."

This drink, the Ciroc Caribbean, has only two steps, how easy is that? (Ok, I've added my own third step, which is to put on your favorite swimsuit and head to the nearest body of water- beach, pool or hot tub- depending on your geographic location). I know you want as little hassle as possible after the busy work week. All it takes is:

• 1.5 oz. Ciroc Coconut (25 oz. per bottle)
• 5 oz. pineapple juice

• 1. Combine ingredients into a highball glass over ice.
• 2. Garnish with a slice of pineapple
