This is the perfect way to warm up on this chilly afternoon: Proceed to the nearest hot tub, relax in your favorite Red Carter swimsuit, and sip on this delicious, frosty treat. You deserve it!

Coco Frost Wintertini

2 parts Bailey's Irish Cream

1 part Malibu Coconut Rum

2 parts milk

Shake or blend until frothy, then pour over ice and garnish with toasted coconut.

We are beginning to design our Resort 2012 collection already, and today we are inspired by these bold stripes and colors. The design team is busy at work on fun prints, color boards, researching trends, and pulling inspiration for the new collection. What has been your favorite trend this season?

Thirsty Thursday

We are beginning a new series here at Red Carter, called "Thirsty Thursday," in honor of it being only a work day away from the sought-after weekend. We'll bring you the best of the best in drink recipes, or at least, my personal favorites. As the bikini guru, I'd like to also think I am somewhat of an expert when it comes to sipping the perfect cocktails at the beach. So get an early start to your weekend, or get prepared for tomorrow's festivities with this tasty sangria recipe I brought back from a trip to Spain:

INGREDIENTS:

• 3 1/4 cups (26 fl. oz) dry red wine
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• Juice of 1 large orange
• Juice of 1 large lemon
• 1 large orange, sliced thin crosswise
• 1 large lemon, sliced thin crosswise
• 2 medium peaches, peeled, pitted and cut into chunks
• 1 cup (8 fl. oz) club soda

PREPERATION:

 

Combine all the ingredients except for the club soda in a large punch bowl or serving pitcher, mixing well. Refrigerate overnight. Immediately before serving, mix in the club soda for added fizz. Ladle into cups with ice cubes. Put on your favorite swimsuit and head to the beach.

Snowed out

Sometimes being left out is a good thing. While the rest of the country is experiencing snow today, sunny Florida remains just that. We are currently one of the only states that is not covered in white snow, just white sandy beaches. I'm sure there are many of you who are enjoying watching the beautiful snow flakes fall, but for those that are walking in a not-so winter wonderland, but instead have visions of palm trees and glamorous swimsuits dancing in their head, these photos are for you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We are back! Sorry for my long absence...had too many holiday cookies and cocktails and needed some time to recover. I hope everyone had a fabulous New Year's celebration! We are excited about this upcoming year and the exciting things we have in store at Red Carter.
