Today's inspiration is Western. I love the brown and red tones for fall, and the idea of playful fringe. How do you think we could incorporate these looks into our swimsuits? We have some ideas in the works...you'll have to wait and see what we come up with!

SS 2010 NY Fashion Week

Another NY Fashion Week has come and gone. What did you think of the new venue at Lincoln Center? I thought it was a big hit- more spacious,  and a great job was done by all transitioning from Bryant Park. I attended some of the shows myself, and saw some fierce resortwear for the upcoming season. What were some of my favorite trends? Floral prints, bold versus nude colors, one shoulder pieces, lace, and metallics- many of which I plan on incorporating in our next collection. We hosted an evening cocktail party during the week, here I am with actress Alexis Dziena.

Miami Swim Week Fashion Show

If you happened to miss our swim show this Summer, here's a photo recap. The show was held at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach, and the theme was "From High Art to Pop Art." The Standard

In honor of it being Friday, and the last weekend of Summer (even though Summer never really ends here in Miami), I want to introduce you to one of my favorite places to spend a weekend in Miami Beach...The Standard Hotel and Spa. Now, even though I live in Miami Beach, you must be thinking, why pay for a room at a hotel? Well, that's how much I love it. It lets you escape without dealing with the hassel of travel. Plus, if you don't want to stay overnight, you can get a day pass to use their amazing pool and spa. So gather up your friends, grab your Red Carter swimsuits, and hope to see you by the pool! You'll find me there late into the night...

Cheers to our new friendship! What better way to start off this relationship than with a poolside margarita? Enjoy my personal favorite recipe below:

Ingredients:

• 2 cups sweet and sour mix
• 1 cup triple sec
• 1-1/2 cups gold tequila
• 1/3 cup brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier)
• 2 limes, quartered

Directions:

Salt the rims of 8 glasses- pour salt onto a small plate, rub the rims of the glasses with lime, and press them into the salt. Fill the glasses with ice. In a blender, combine sweet and sour mix, triple sec, tequila and Grand Marnier. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses, squeeze a quarter lime into each glass, and serve. Makes 8 servings.
